“My point, and I do have one, is that criticism is the price you pay for having an audience. You have to find a way to live with it. If you’re really sensible, you can look at it objectively, take the input you find useful, and reject the observations you disagree with. Because at the end of the day, we’re only talking about opinions, and the one that really matters is yours.”
This Authors reaction to her book being reveiwed is shockingly cringeworthy. The review itself isn’t that bad but her extreme responses are quite simply career suicide. It’s amazing to watch it unfold
I’ve been trying to think of something really different to make as a thank you gift for a friend. She has a sense of style I really admire and thinking of exactly the right thing to fit in with that has been an interesting personal challenge. It’s given me a lot of other ideas which I will probably try out later too. I’m halfway through making it so I’ll be sure and show you what I ended coming up with.
If you are new, or an old user. You should become aware of the new privacy drama unfolding at Etsy. This is a pretty huge fuckup, they didn’t seem to learn anything from the backlash and lawsuits when Facebook did the same thing. Read about it here
Sorry about that guys. I was having trouble with the way this tumblr was setup. It being a secondary tumblr I was limited with some of what I could do. So I’ve started up a new account where it will be primary and that will no longer be an issue. Sorry for the mess. They have no system in place for switching or moving secondaries to new accounts. So I had to start afresh. I thought it would be better to do this now when I knew problems were starting to arise then later down the track when it’s more settled in.
I’m also going to send the previous followers a message to make sure people know they would need to move across.
